    Novelty Speciality - 3D Car Cake - "Ute"

    Prerequisites: Some cake decorating experience and hand painting experience

    Workshop Overview:

    In this class you will learn to create one of the most popular cake designs: a realistic car replica. You will learn how to assemble a realistic 3D car using measurements sourced from a real one and how to correctly proportion the cake using techniques such as sculpting cake, ganache and potentially Styrofoam; you will then learn how to cover this incredible shape and cope with the seams and icing! You will be decorating realistically using piping, painting, glazing and other decorating techniques. 3D Cars are a common request and a handy addition to your cake decorating repertoire; once you are confident with one car shape you can adapt the techniques you have learned to all sorts of different vehicles.
